Rumbler Services at D&M

AT D&M, we offer rumbling services as part of our deburring. We use the top-of-the-range Walther Trowal CD200 Circular Vibrator. This rumbler enables us to not only aggressively deburr parts but also gently deburr more delicate pieces and add a high-gloss polish to parts. We also have the latest Walther Trowal Vibratory Drier installed to dry off the parts after they have been deburred, allowing for a quick, all-in-one solution.
One of the main advantages of the rumbler machine is its ability to work autonomously. This allows staff to set up jobs and simultaneously work on other projects. Increasing efficiency in the workplace and enabling us to increase the number of jobs we can work on simultaneously.
The size of the rumbler means that we have a large operating capacity. The capabilities of this machine are:
- 30mm thickness
- 150mm wide x 300mm long
In addition, we can work with a wide range of materials, including stainless steel, mild steel, titanium, aluminium, brass, copper or any other material required. Our rumbling machine is ideal for removing burrs or polishing small intricate parts!
What is rumbling?

The rumbling is a finishing process that removes oil & burrs from metal parts and components. It can also remove rust and leave the parts polished and smooth. Typically after a part has been laser cut, burrs can be left on the edges; this can be a health and safety hazard, damaging to other parts, and not aesthetically pleasing. The burrs can also be challenging to remove on small or angled parts.
This is where the rumbling machine comes into its own. The rumbler contains many small, specifically shaped stones that, when activated, vibrate together with the metal components, causing the deburring action. Once completed, the parts are transferred to the drying bowl; the vibration causes a rolling motion that embeds the parts in the medium, rubbing them against it inside the bowl, which soaks up the moisture.
At D&M, we are always committed to producing high-quality products for all our customers. We are very excited to launch this new service, which will allow us to make these parts in even less time.
