The British Autograss Series held its annual presentation night on the 25th of February at the Coombe Abbey Hotel in Coventry. This annual award show celebrates the amazing men, ladies and juniors involved in this fantastic sport.
The race season comprises five rounds, during which you accumulate points; the overall total from these races determines the winners. The five rounds take place over the summer, with hard work and determination going into preparing for the events. Our very own, Michelle Barratt, was among the winners, winning 2nd place in Ladies Class 7, a fantastic end result.
There were 12 classes, as well as junior and junior specials being awarded at the presentation night. The classes included both men’s and ladies’ groups.
Trophy Designs
The British Autograss Series sought to revamp its award ceremony by commissioning distinct and personalised trophies for its champions. This is where D&M stepped in, dedicating their efforts towards designing trophies that embodied the unique identity of the British Autograss Series. Our team of expert designers collaborated closely to create an innovative, customised design that truly embodies the essence of the championship and is befitting of the winners.
We crafted bespoke trophies for each of the 94 winners across all classes. The trophies were uniquely designed and constructed using a combination of specialised materials and advanced techniques. Our team utilised cutting-edge technologies, including 3D printing and fibre laser cutting, to create the centrepiece and stand, respectively, which were then powder-coated to achieve the desired colour scheme of gold, silver, bronze, and black. Furthermore, our precision engineering department expertly machined aluminium blocks into sturdy bases that anchored each trophy.
Each trophy was assembled here at D&M before being carefully packaged and dispatched to Coventry in time for the presentation ceremony. Have a look at our video below, which provides an insight into the various stages that contributed to the final product.
